Olympus Stylus Tough TG-2
Outdoor enthusiats would be pleased to hear that Olympus two new “tough” cameras, the Olympus TG-2 and TG-630, will be available in Singapore from end January.
Olympus claims that its series of Tough cameras are waterproof, shockproof and freezeproof, perfect for users who prefer a hardy camera on a hike or an off-road bike ride.
The Olympus Stylus Tough TG-2 is expected to be waterproof to a depth of 15 metres, shockproof to drops from up to 2.1 metres and freezeproof in temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius.
It comes with a f2.0 lens which is designed to shoot in low-light conditions. The TG-2’s Super Macro function also lets users take pictures at a very close range, within 1cm of the subject.
Available in black and red, the TG-2 is expected to retail at S$568.
Olympus Stylus Tough TG-630
The Olympus Stylus Tough TG-630 also claims to be a hardy camera, though slightly less so on paper. It is waterproof up to 5 metres, shockproof to drops from 1.5 metres and freezeproof at temperatures of as low as -10 degrees Celsius.
With 5x optical zoom from 28mm (wide-angle) to 140mm (tele), it promises users a wide range of shooting styles, from expansive landscapes to narrow-angle shooting, according to Olympus.
The TG-630 is available in four colours, black, white, red and blue at S$328.
